Yes! Exploring Glacier National Park during the winter offers such a special and tranquil experience. With the absence of crowds, the park unveils its pristine beauty, allowing you to immerse yourself in the embrace of nature. Yes. Our number 1 priority is your safety, so if there are unsafe conditions like strong winds on the day your tour is scheduled, we may move your tour to a more protected location on the lake or reschedule your tour for another day. Your safety is our primary concern so if there are dangerous paddling conditions, we will cancel and issue a refund. This rarely happens.
In order to match you with the kayak/board that fits each paddler, we will request the height and weight of each participant.
It is also vital that we know the paddling experience level of each participant and any relevant medical issues so we can ensure the comfort and the safety of each paddler in a group.
At Sea Me Paddle safety is our number one concern. There is one thing we know for sure: on Flathead Lake, Mother Nature RULES!! The lake is so massive that it generally creates wind on a daily basis, so there are days that the lake is a sheet of glass, and then there are days the winds pick up and create a great deal of wave action.
With that in mind, we constantly monitor the lake forecast so we can give accurate information to our paddlers. All of our rental kayaks are perfect vessels to lounge in the bays and skirt the shoreline. If you decide to tour with us, our touring kayaks are fully capable, and our guides are equipped to handle any water emergency Mother Nature throws at us.
