Walking into Moose’s feels like stepping straight into an Old West saloon. The building has stood on Main Street for more than a century and has operated as a bar since 1957. Today, it still holds onto all that rustic charm: swinging saloon doors, red glowing lights, carved wooden booths, and a floor covered in sawdust and peanut shells. The walls, beams, and booths are carved top to bottom with names and initials from the thousands of people who’ve visited over the years. You’ll find everything from “Calvin, Your Next Door Neighbor” to hearts, dates, and plenty of creative inscriptions left by locals and travelers alike. It’s impossible not to look around and imagine all the stories that unfolded inside those walls.

The tangy sauerkraut, savory sausage, and perfectly baked crust blend together in a way that surprises every skeptic. It’s the one pizza we order every time, and it has converted many Moose’s newcomers.
If you’re craving something fresh, their spinach and strawberry salad with candied walnuts is a surprisingly great option. Perfect on warm summer evenings after a day of exploring the Flathead Valley.
